St. Anne’s Announces New Rector

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is delighted to announce that Ginny Wilder has accepted the call to be the parish’s new rector. She will conduct her first service on . Her first order of business was to send the following message to the St. Anne’s community.

Greetings St. Anne’s,

I wanted to take a moment introduce myself to you and to let you know just how excited I am to be called to serve as your next rector. My wife, Barbie, and I are preparing for the transition by praying for you all daily and ask that you pray for us as well.

I was born in Summerville, South Carolina, went to college and graduate school in North Carolina and was sent to seminary from All Souls Cathedral in Asheville, NC. Before seminary I served for 10 years at Biltmore Estate as the Training and Development Manager for all of the point of contact sales positions.

I have enjoyed serving these past five years as the associate rector at Trinity Episcopal Parish in Wilmington, Delaware. During my time here I have helped rebuild our youth program, oversaw the revamping of our life-long Christian formation program, built bridges out into the community that took the gospel out into the world and brought the world into our midst allowing for true and authentic relationships to form with our neighbors right outside our doors.

When not at work you can catch me out riding my bike, playing music at an open mic, taking a walk around the neighborhood or flying one of my kites in a park. Our two dogs also keep us very occupied and they are looking forward to the pet blessing in October. Feel free to friend me on Facebook, follow me on twitter or check out my pictures on Instagram. Social media is also a big hobby of mine!

Blessings and joy to you as we make our way to Winston-Salem in late September.

In peace,
Ginny Wilder
